Agency Samples

Federal agencies have created a variety of documents and resources to support the use of telework as an emergency management preparedness tool and the effective development of telework. This page presents a list of such documents as potential resources. 

• Department and Agencies Telework Exercise Template (FEMA): This Exercise Plan Template is a tool to assist agencies to conduct a telework exercise to determine current capabilities to operate in a telework or socially-distanced environment and what needs to be done to enhance current capabilities to better prepare for a pandemic influenza or continuity event.
• Department and Agencies Telework Player Handbook Template (FEMA): This template is set up to provide an example of an exercise player handbook for use when conducting a telework exercise.
• Brief Video Showcasing Sample Agency Telework Dashboard (GSA): Publishing dashboards introduces transparency to telework participation, encouraging collaboration and sharing of telework best practices among regions and programs within an overarching organization. Dashboards also provide the information needed to meet the reporting requirements of the Telework Enhancement Act of 2010.
• Sample Telework Training for Employees (GSA): This training for GSA employees meets the requirements of the Telework Enhancement Act of 2010.
• Department of the Interior Telework Handbook: The Department of the Interior (DOI) Telework Handbook sets the telework policy for DOI Bureaus and Offices.
